Nuffield Hospital North Staffordshire 

Q: How can I pay for my treatment.
A: There a number of different payment options
Q: Do you offer any Finance Packages.
A: Yes we offer a 0% finance package over 10 months and an interest bearing package with 2 or 3 years to pay.
Q: Will I be on a general ward or do I have my own private facilities.
A: All patients have their own en-suite bedroom and are provided with fresh hand and bath towels and basic toiletries such as soap and shampoo.
Q: What are the visiting hours?
A: Visiting hours are flexible and visitors are welcome at any time of the day, as long as it does not interfere with your treatment and recovery.
Q: When can I be treated.
A: We can schedule appointment times that best suit your needs.

Cosmetic Surgery in General 

Q: Do you need a referral letter from your GP?
A: No it is not necessary to have a GP referral for Cosmetic Surgery procedures.
Q: Is the surgery performed by the Consultant that you see?
A: Yes, the surgery is always performed by your preferred Consultant.
Q: What is the waiting time for a Consultation?
A: It is normally between 7-10 days.

Breast Enlargement 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for an overnight stay.
Q: What results can I expect from Breast Enlargement surgery?
A: You can expect to enjoy fuller, firmer breasts that will help improve your self confidence and enable you to enjoy life to the full.
Q: What kind of recovery time can I expect after breast enlargement surgery?
A: The area will be sensitive, surgeons recommend avoiding underwired bras for at least 6 weeks. Breasts will feel a little swollen and hard, they will take 6 weeks to feel soft again and 3 months to settle entirely.

Breast Reduction 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for 2 nights.
Q: How long is the recovery time?
A: It is recommended that Breast Reduction patients take at least 2 weeks holiday from work, patients are advised not to wear underwired bras for at least 6 weeks after surgery, and strenuous exercise should be avoided for at least 6 weeks.
Q: Who will Breast Reduction benefit?
A: If you feel your breasts are overly large and cause pain or discomfort in the back, or loss of confidence then speak to a Consultant to discuss your concerns.

Breast Uplift 

Q: How long is the recovery time?
A: It is recommended that patients take at least 2 weeks off work and to avoid strenuous exercise for at least 6 weeks.
Q: Who will benefit Breast Uplift surgery?
A: Women who have had children, women who have lost weight and women who have natural drooping breasts.
Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for an overnight stay.

Nose Reshaping 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for an overnight stay.
Q: What is the recovery time?
A: You will be required to wear a nasal splint for approximately 1 week and there will be bruising and swelling for up to 14 days, it is recommended that you take 2 weeks off work. The final swelling will resolve in 6-12 months.
Q: Who will Rhinoplasty benefit?
A: People who have a lack of self confidence because they are unhappy with the size and/or shape of their nose or the result of an accident or injury.

Face Lift 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for 2 nights.
Q: What is the recovery time?
A: It is recommended that you take 2-3 weeks off work.
Q: Who will benefit Face Lift surgery?
A: People whose face and neck has begun to sag, but whose skin still has some elasticity and whose bone structure is strong and well defined. It should not be obvious that the patient has had a face lift, but instead they look younger, more vital and cheerful.

Tummy Tuck 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for 2 nights.
Q: Who will benefit from Abdominoplasty surgery?
A: If you have tried to exercise and diet or if you have a flabby, overhanging tummy, Abdominoplasty surgery will give you a taut, slim appearance and give you greater confidence.
Q: How long will I need to take off work?
A: You will need to take approximately 2-3 weeks off work, return to normal activity within 6-8 weeks. The area will take up to 6 months to settle.

Liposuction 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for an overnight stay.
Q: What is the recovery time?
A: There will be pain and discomfort for approximately 1 week. A pressure garment will need to be worn to help the skin conform to the new shape. Bruising and swelling will settle down after approximately 4-6 weeks.
Q: Who will Liposuction benefit?
A: Liposuction will benefit people of normal weight who have stubborn areas of excess fat that cannot be toned up via exercise or a healthy diet. Liposuction will change shape, not weight.

Eye Lift 

Q: How long will I have to stay in hospital?
A: You will be required to stay in hospital for an overnight stay.
Q: Who will benefit from Blepharoplasty surgery?
A: Blepharoplasty surgery will benefit both men and women who have excessive droopy skin around their eye lid or beneath the eye, giving a tired, unhappy, or aged appearance to the face.
Q: What results can I expect from Blepharoplasty surgery?
A: You can expect a youthful and fresh faced appearance with minimal scarring.
